[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,420,true][cs=2] OTTERBARK ● WARRIOR ● ROSECLAN |
| [SOCIAL] ● [RASH] ● [HONEST] | General Knowledge Age: 28 moons Breed: Mix, possibly with siamese or burmese. Reason for Name:prefix for the length and color of his fur. suffix for his bold nature and sharp-tongue.
Appearance
Otterbark is a touch larger than average, but not abnormally so.His chest of wide and give way to broad shoulders - the rest of his body follows that broader stature giving the tom a sturdy build. Respectable muscle tone makes up his bulk. His legs are lean, strong and have a coil of muscle on his rear quarters that enable him to both jump and swim with relative ease. His paws are large and house an array of fine claws; coupled with his muscle he may be capable of delivering strong blows and have ample footing that make him a bit of a challenge to topple over.
His pelt, completely so, is a rich chocolate brown with little variation to the color tone - shadows in his fur being the only exception. Though short, his fur is thick with a double layer - the outer most coat being somewhat waterproof to protect the tom from the elements.
He has - at least what he considers - to be a handsome face. His muzzle is thick, furry and protrudes uniquely from his face to give him a somewhat exotic (and siamese-like) appearance. His features are bold and angles apparent from his round (chubby) cheeks to his slanted nose, broad forehead, large ears and almond eyes.
Some notable features on Otterbark are his soft, pale moss green eyes that pop against his otherwise dark fur and his thicker than normal tail.
Personality
bold, brave, upfront, honest, rash - doesn't like to plan ahead, calm, observant, social, stubborn in his judgement of others, rebellious, loose loyalty, not good at affections but can be romantic...
When Otterbark was little he had it in his mind that he would grow up to be the strong, silent and mysteriously suave type; the type that got the she-cat and had the moves; walk the walk and talk the talk. He wanted to be sexy. Unfortunately for Otterbark life didn't work out like that. Growing up he had to draw his sister, Sablekit out of her shell. To do so, Otterkit had to be the loud, obtuse one that got the pair into social situations as well as trouble. For a long time he was the voice she couldn't muster, and it doing so, Otterkit developed a love for the spotlight as well as his obnoxious social skills. Socially, little intimidates him.
Otterbark can be rather headstrong. He is rash at times, and thought observant, he doesn't utilize that skill and instead likes to leap before he looks - so to speak. It may very well be because of his young age, but the tom likes to live life with no regrets and rather selfishly puts himself in all sorts of unnecessary situations. Whether his clan mates see it as bravery or stupidity, Otterbark doesn't know, but he considers himself brave.
He may not be the most loyal of cats (he loves his clan but he also loves to bend the rules) but he is a hard worker. Skillful in both hunting, as well as a strong cat, he contributes much to the clan; he may however, negate that to some effect from the countless boundary fights he often starts or ends up in. He is, as stated, known to be brash and headstrong. He is capable of being of being calm, but only when absolutely necessary of if he has detached interest to that particular situation or cat.
He is rather bold, perhaps a bit too, and on par with that is his honesty. He can - and does lie - but out more out of convienance than want (he will lie, too, to scare or mess with those that annoy him too much). His blunt honesty can be harsh, critical and insulting at times but it can also be a breath of fresh air and a sought out trait by many who seek the truth.
He can be somewhat judgmental of others and stubborn in the way he holds onto grudges. He was taught to forgive and forget, lectured about not holding onto the past but -mousedung! - he says and holds them all he wants.
In the area of romance he can be a bit numskulled. He is terrible at displays of affection, and can be downright awkward, but he yearns for romance and is capable of wooing.

History Family:mother Marshflower father Weaselfur littermates Sable--- siblings Martendash, Erminetail &Swampkit
Weaselfur was previously of StoneClan when he became smitten by a RoseClan she-cat named Marshflower. She was the free-spirit to his grounded, stoney nature. They met consistently on middle ground, sometimes on accident, but they always met. Marshflower charmed the StoneClan tom and, in a matter of six moons of harmless flirting Marshflower began to grow fat with his kits. Weaselfur informed his clan - they insisted that they get the kits, meaning, sweet Marshflower had to join StoneClan. Marshflower, of course, refused. In the end, RoseClan welcomed Weaselfur into their ranks.
It was a few moons later that their first litter was born. It consisted of three kittens - Erminekit, Martenkit and Swampkit, though Swampkit would perish some days later due to illness and a birth defect. In time, Ermine and Marten moved up the ranks and become Erminetail and Martendash while Weaselfur and Marshflower had their second litter of Sablekit and Otterkit.
Otterkit and his sister, Sablekit were very close during their kit stage of life. Otterkit was the brave, strong fearless one that led his sister on all sorts of mini-adventures once they were old enough to leave the nursery. They heard tales of wonder from their frequent stops at the elders den and faced great danger (in imagination land) as they fought one another to rule the forest. Otterkit brought out a bolder side in his otherwise shy sister.
In proper time they became Sablepaw and Otterpaw and together faced the hardships and trials that being an apprentice brought. Otterpaw's mentor was a gruff old tom that worked the young cat tirelessly. Otterpaw grew to resent him when he was consistently returning to his nest full of cuts and bruises. Though, the tom - Rapidstream - died in his sleep late one night and Otterpaw found himself missing the old coot when his new mentor didn't meet the standards of his first.
Despite his setbacks and skepticism of his new mentor, he did become a warrior at twelve moons and was given the name Otterbark for his bold nature and sharp-tongue. His sister was named a warrior shortly after - Otterbark was the first to shout her new warrior name.
He was given his first apprentice at fifteen moons - a lively she-cat named Irispaw. She was only recently named a warrior and Otterbark now seeks out a mate, a family but also yearns for more - adventure, excitement and even a little danger.
