Twin Fish Ponds

Two large koi ponds frame the entrance road to the neighborhood. Once full functioning fountains and waterfalls, they were constructed with the sole purpose of creating a grand, boastful statement to the wealth and comfort of the people living in the micro-mansions. Since then the fountains stopped working but the water, fed in from the lake by an underground pipe, has been kept at a stable level. As such the koi have thrived, even without human assistance. The brightly colored fish are a favorite among the Clan. However the larger fish have been known to take kits right from the concrete edge so Queens refuse to bring their little ones there. Small Apprentices are also discouraged from swimming here for the same reason. Aesthetically, now that the found and waterfall no longer work, the ponds are plain concrete and slate stone, which can cause the lip of the ponds to be slick after rain or splashing.
