Okay, so she was out of camp without the permission of her mentor, Honeyrain. She wanted to play! Rabbitpaw loved playing so getting out of camp and not having to do work was always fun.
That was why she was here. She loved the strange plants found in the beautiful garden. It was beautiful. She loved wandering around and staring at all the weird and wonderful plants that she had never seen before. It was so big, she found at least one new thing every time she came here. Plants so strange she couldn't think of names for them. It was so... odd! Everything was beautiful and wonderful and Rabbitpaw could spend forever in here.
Today she found a plant that was a deep, dark red. It had six things sticking out from the center and one green thing in the middle. It looked like a flame, burning darkly in the middle of their territory. Rabbitpaw had thus dubbed it the Ember Flower. It was pretty, but she knew better than to pick it and drag it home to her mother. She wasn't a RoseClanner, who brought pretty trinkets to line their kittypet nest. And she knew that Birchbark would chastise her for picking a plant she knew nothing about.
Rabbitpaw curled up underneath the Ember Flower, closing her eyes and settling down to sleep. [/justify]

Aspenpaw was so bored, sitting around the apprentice den waiting for Jaydance to take her out for training. She felt that, at this rate, she was never going to make warrior before eighteen moons. Why couldn't her mentor be, oh, what was the word she was looking for. Productive? Sure, she probably shouldn't be so hard on her, after all, Aspenpaw was still trying to get somewhat used to not have One-Eye as her mentor anymore. She was slowly accepting Jaydance, but sometimes, on days like this one when it was just far too gorgeous to stay in the camp, she couldn't help but wonder if she was ever going to get out and train.
"That's it, I can't sit here any more," she muttered, glancing around the small den. Creeping out, she made sure to check the area before sneaking out of the camp. As she padded out, she caught the scent of one of her fellow apprentices, almost immediately forming a thought. 'Wonder where she went off to?' With a bit of a smirk, the strange she-cat ran off, following the scent as best she could. She thought of it as a game or a hunt, following the stray PineClanner's scent as closely as possible. The trail wasn't old, not by a long shot, having been made possibly just a short while before Aspenpaw herself had left.
It wasn't long before she had found her way to the Tree Hollow Nursey, the almost sacred and beautiful place full of life and color. The frail songs of birds filled the air and could almost hear the quiet clicks of small squirrel claws running down a tree and into the marvelous place. She never got tired of coming in here. It was just so awe-inspiring, seeing all the plants different colors, shapes, and sizes. No other clan had such a place on their territories, giving PineClan just one more reason to be considered the best.
Having nearly forgotten about why she had come out here, Aspenpaw started to walk quietly through the Nursery of sorts, listening to the songs and phrases of the animals scittering or flying about. Their words almost as soothing as the sights around her. She was loving this, almost too much. At the moment, she seemed to be alone, meaning, if she so desired, she could hold whatever conversations she wanted to. If she could find the willing squirrel or rabbit that is. It was hard sometimes, convincing them not to run, but she was sure that, eventually, word amongst the vermin would spread and it would get easier to entice them to talk. That was only a hope, though, nothing that she was too sure about.
The scent of the other she-cat caught her senses again, though, as she passed a vibrant red flower, reminding her of why she was here. Slowly turning towards the flower, she tilted her head and watched Rabbitpaw as she fell to sleep. It was endearing, seeing the younger apprentice so relaxed. She would never expect an attack. Eyes gleaming, Aspenpaw softly and quietly stalked around the nursery until she was behind the intriguing flower and the other apprentice. With each step she took closer, she lowered herself more and more towards the ground, until she was right behind her crouching. 'One... two... three!' On her own count, she let out a small mewl and pounced at the sleeping form of her denmate, being careful of the flower. "Wake up, sleepy cat!" She purred.
((hope you don't mind me joinin' ya in here =P))
