Oh No they can't. Opalcloud was not in the greatest of moods. Her half sister had come into the medicine cat's den with nothing more than a cracked paw pad. It was an easy fix for Opalcloud. She had everything she needed and was more than willing to help out her sister. But Iriseyes was being bitter as always. They had never gotten along and Opalcloud didn't know why. The situation from this morning played over and over again in her mind. Her sister constantly hissed at Opalcloud when she was applying the herbs to her paw. But what got to Opalcloud was how ungrateful she was. "A few nights of rest?! You have got to be kidding me! The clan needs to be fed and with Greenleaf..." Opalcloud turned to her sister, cutting her off. "If you want your pad to heal you will do as I say." Then Opalcloud walked out of her den and out of the camp. She did not say it with a mean tone but anyone could tell she was irritated. Opalcloud hissed out at no one. She was by herself near the Stone Bridge. Sometimes she could find a good batch of golden rod around and today she was lucky. The golden rod was ready to be picked. It calmed Opalcloud to go out into the territory to find herbs and useful herbs at that. If she could hunt for the clan she would but her job was to make the clan healthy and keep them healthy. PineClan was having issues with a deadly illness being carried inside their prey - rodents. Although golden rod would not help for such an issue, the elders were going to in need of some of it. Opalcloud purred and hoped that it would come in use. She liked to feel helpful and loved making everyone comfortable when they were in pain. The sky had little to no clouds and the sun burned strong. This Greenleaf would be a hot one and Opalcloud was not happy about that. Hot weather sometimes meant that there may be a drought and with a drought came less herbs. Even the sun would dry out the good herbs quicker than usual. The she-cat sighed lightly. She would have to do her best to always go out daily and watch herbs, making sure they don't dry out before they're ready. But she had an apprentice now to help her. He was a bright little apprentice who would make Opalcloud and the other past medicine cats proud, she was sure! Opalcloud sat down and gave herself a quick groom before picking the golden rod. Today started badly but it would end good. That was usually how she thought and always planned for it to go that way. how many words ~ 457 who's playing ~ n/a any comments ~ n/a |
