Kits Born [Open]

Dawnbreeze was in the nursery because two moons ago she had been out of camp alone. That very same night a tom came across her, he being in Pineclan, and got her pregnant. So now she was having a litter of kits. She gave birth to four beautiful kits, but only three of them survived, the fourth one had been a still born. The medicine cat had helped her give birth to the three kits and when it appeared she had everything until control, she was left alone to be with her kits. Dawnbreeze laid on her side, allowing her three kits to suck the milk from her, hoping they would grow up to be big and strong like her and her sister Bluetwilight. A small smile appeared on her face.

Maybe now that I have kits, I can finally get my sister to pay attention to me... She thought to herself as she slowly shut her eyes. Right now all she wanted to do was rest and watch her kits and maybe rest again because she was really tired now. Her head turned out of the den to see the darkness. Wow if felt like only a few moments ago that it was light outside... She slowly took in deep breaths before leaning over to lick her three kits, one at a time of course. I sure hope that my sister shows up and it would be nice if my parents also showed up. She didn't really think so much of the tom, it wasn't like she loved him, so wanting him to see the kits was not on her mind this very second. Right now all she wanted was her family or at least her sister Bluetwilight.

There was nothing but darkness for so long. Darkness and someone Else's feet in her tummy. And then...light! Cold! Noise? There were so many things flooding her senses at once!

The cold became warmth, something was being drawn across her head? A tongue? Yea, that had to be it. Someone was licking her head to try to warm her up. She squeaked softly in an attempted thanks but she knew no words yet. So instead, she cuddled closer to whatever or whomever was keeping her warm. Then, a new sensation flooded her mouth. Food! She ate happily then, before long she had no more strength. With a happy sigh, she cuddled closer to as many heavy bodies as she could find.
