Honeyrain shifted in her nest before stretching and yawning. It was going to be a long day. Slowly she stood up and looked around the warriors in the den who were sound asleep. She walked carefully, making sure not to step on anybody before she made her way through the entrance of the den and out side. She sniffed the air before walking towards the fresh kill pile. She reached for a mouse and walked back towards the warrior den, sitting down to eat it. It was just like any other fresh kill, it made her stomach pain go away that was dying for some food. Shortly after consuming the mouse she felt a wave of sickness. Oh gosh I think I'm going to be sick.... She really didn't want to go into the medicine cat's den, it was just a small sickness, something she could handle, she was sure of it. She continued to just sit there, staring out into space. She wasn't going to the medicine cat's den, not over something as small as this.
Honeyrain walked into the warrior's den and laid back down into her nest. It was hard, but she was able to fall to sleep. A few hours of sleeping, or she was trying to sleep before the aches and nausea came. She mumbled, shifting onto her side. She was really starting to feel the burn. Her whole body was sweating because of what her body was going through and the fever that had just started. She was exhausted, not wishing to stand up and go to the medicine cat's den. I really should have gone a few hours ago... Honeyrain shifted onto her paws, it hurt... She slowly walked towards the entrance of the warrior's den. Nobody was helping her, she hadn't asked, but you think they would help her when they seen what she looked like. She got to the entrance of the den before puking up the mouse and a little bit of blood. "Help...." She gave in and fall onto her side. "Help..." She asked again, forcing herself onto her stomach, crawling to the medicine cat's den.
It felt like forever before she got to the medicine cat's den. She puked again, with a little more blood. "Help me..." She begged the medicine cat, before falling onto her stomach again. She was in pain, and she was exhausted.

The medicine cat in question had been awake since early that morning. The time had come to rotate out some of the less-fresh supplies in favor of freshly gathered herbs Birchbark had already collected, as well as to double check the cleanliness of the rest of the den. Birchbark firmly believed in the den being kept in top shape at all times, as well as maintaining the medicine stores so keenly that rotting would never be a problem. He also firmly believed that it was one of the most important duties in the den, which he took seriously upon himself instead of delegating to his apprentice.
In that way, Honeyrain was fortunate to be met with a freshly prepared Medicine Den, with lavender tucked into the corners to keep the enclosed space smelling friendly. Birchbark immediately turned from organizing the dried oak leaves to take stock of the other cat.
“Something tells me you should have come sooner… When did it start, what happened, and how are you feeling right now?” His tone was calm, but with an undertone of immediate urgency as he turned to his stores. Some symptoms were already evident, the bile and blood on the once-clean ground attesting to that, but Birchbark had to know the rest of them. His mind raced as he thought of plants to match the symptoms he could see already. Blood. Vomit. Pain. Exhaustion.
Juniper berries could help with the pain in her belly, and sedate her enough to take the edge of the pain, but leave her coherent enough to tell him what had happened. If this was a bone caught somewhere inside of her from a mis-chewed meal, the most he could really do would be induce vomiting and then hope the bone came out. Pain medicine would be the first thing he gave her, possibly poppy seeds, but he would have to wait on those. Poppy seeds would leave the puking cat sleepy and inchoherent, which could be dangerous if she continued puking as so and he didn’t get the details. Juniper berries first it would be, to take the edge of her pain and calm her panic, but leave her coherent.
“Did you eat anything with strong bones this morning?” Birchbark tacked on the question quickly as he fetched the juniper berries and laid them out for her. Before he fetched anything else, he had to know more as to the cause of this sudden sickness.

Honeyrain wasn't paying attention to the medicine cat's den, she was trying to pay attention to him. She didn't know anything about herbs, but couldn't help but hope that he'd be able to find something to help her. His comment didn't surprise her. Yes she should of come in sooner, but she didn't think it was a big deal at first... it was just stomach pain... could have been something less serious and she thought she'd be wasting his time by going in so early. "Yeah...." She agreed, thinking of the past, she was one of the few that had been with the medicine cat den for being terribly injured, she's lucky she is still able to be a warrior. That was twenty-one moons ago when she was fifteen moons old. She was in the medicine cat's den for two weeks.
Honeyrain was pulled out of her thoughts, she had heard his question, but she had waited to answer it. She puked again, more blood on the ground in the den. "Dawn." She spoke and paused, "I ate a mouse, it was fine at first, made the hunger in my stomach go away... but shortly after I finished the mouse I felt so sick...." Another pause before she started her sentence up again. "I went into the warrior's den to take a nap... when I woke up a few moments ago... I puked..." Her face showed how sick she was feeling. "Blood came out when I got here." All the she'cat wanted to do was lay down and sleep, all Birchbark was doing was asking her questions. Of course she was still sick and didn't think she'd get better unless she got help.
"So sick..." Her legs weren't going to hold her anymore. Her legs were shaking, not willing to hold her up anymore. Her legs fell out from under her and she was now on her side. Birchbark seemed deep in thought and Honeyrain blinked, wanting nothing more than to sleep. Her eyes shut and she heard a question being asked of her. "A mouse has strong bones?" She wasn't all that sure, sometimes Honeyrain was really out of it sometimes. "I don't know... if mouse has strong bones than yes... if not... then no... because I ate a mouse..." She breathed heavily before puking forward, more blood and any other food still in her stomach that hadn't been puked up just yet. He fetched some berries and laid them out in front of her. Her eyes blinked once more and closed.
All I want to do is sleep and not be in so much pain.... why am I in so much pain? Honeyrain mumbled, the pain in her body was to much to bare, all she wanted was to be healthy again and no longer in pain. "I got the mouse from the prey pile...." Unaware that she wasn't speaking anymore she thought the rest of her sentence. Tell Rushstar that the prey pile is where I got the mouse. It's not safe... Honeyrain's eyes shot open again, body shaking because it was in pain and was so tired.

Emberstorm, the unwanted Medicince cat apprenticed. Unwanted was a strong word, but it seemed the only one to describe her by, Pineclan still didn't look at her like they did to Birchbark and she feared they never would. It wasn't her fault, none of this had ever been her fault. Why did her father have to be a loner? Why did her mother break the rules and had her? Boiling anger raged in her body but she was never allowed to let it out, in fear that someone would see her then tell everyone, then noone would ever trust her one bit.
Shifting her pace to a light jog, the fresh herbs that hung in her mouth bounced heavily. It was always good to be gone from camp for a little bit, to be alone to gather herbs. The medicine den seemed to never run low with Birchbark around, his tidiness and organization would bring comfort to her in the heat of chaos. But as she approached the small den nested along side a great maple tree and triangular stone, both used to help store the many herbs that came in. Their was a strange air around the den that warned of something to come.
Slowing her pace, the tortoiseshell cat poked her head though into the small den, only to get a nose full of vomit. Recoiling back in shock, the she-cat pushed herself forward, her yellow eyes scanning the room in a second. Taking in the exhausting looking Honeyrain and concern looking Birchbark. Another one? How else? The memory of Cypressheart body in the center of clan was too fresh in her mind. What happened? She asked quickly forgetting the herbs she had dropped at her paws, padding over to be beside Birchbark.
Looking over Honeyrain, the first thing she noticed was the blood. Hmmm... Does she have internal bleeding? Eaten something sharp? Her drowsiness did not fit any of the symptoms, and it was not a good combination with vomiting. For if she fell asleep now and throw up, her air way would be open and she would be too numb to gag up the vomit, resulting in her drowning in her own vomit as it travels down to her lungs. She was visibly in pain and the berry that lay beside her it looked like Birchbark had already dealt with that, so Emberstorm guessed all she could do now was reassure the probably frightened cat. Need me to get anything? Do something? She asked Birchbark, for she wanted to be useful, to prove herself to Birchbark like she had to Redleaf.
