RUSHSTAR
PINECLAN x LEADER
[LOYAL] œ [JUDGEMENTAL] œ [ENTERGETIC]
General Knowledge
AGE: 38 moons
GENDER: She-Cat
BREED: Mutt
SEXUALITY: Hetrosexual
REASON FOR NAME:prefix Her fur color is almost the same shade as that of a dying rush, later suited her energetic personality
suffix She was given the suffix fur for the same reason her mother named her Rushkit at birth, her light tabby colored fur. Her suffix is now star due to her position as leader.
Appearance
[Rushstar is a fairly normal cat. She has light brow colored tabby fur, causing her to blend in with most PineClan cats, although her white markings cause her to stand out slightly. Her paws and belly are white, with the white on her left front paw coming up higher than on her other legs. Her belly white doesn't extend to any other parts of her body, causing it to be hidden unless she rolls on her back.
Rushstar is a thickly built cat, pelt rippling in muscles. She does, however have a more delicate side, portrayed by her head and sparkling amber eyes. Her pelt shows her experince as a warrior, covered in scars. Her ears have numerous nicks, although most are only slight. Her eyes have the look of a hardened warrior, fierce and guarded. Her tail is slightly longer than normal, although you can't tell unless you see it alongside a normal length one.]
Personality
[While Rushstar lacks notice appearance wise, she sure doesn't for her personality. A true PineClan warrior, she will do anything for her clan, no matter the cost. With her, it's clan first, family second, and herself last. If she had to jump off a cliff to save her clan, she would do it without a second thought, holding her head high to entire time. There isn't anything in the world that she would rather die for than her clan.
Although loyal to her own clan, Rushstar has little to no tolerance for the other clans and non-clan cats. She can't seem to get past the fact they they are not pure blooded PineClan cats and will not trust them, even if they have saved her life. The only way for them to prove themselves in her eyes would be to save all of PineClan from some disaster. And, even after they have proven themselves worthy, they still aren't near as good as any full blooded PineClan cat.
Despite her rough exterior, Rushstar is full of energy. Nothing makes her feel better than play fighting with some apprentices or a game of moss ball with the kits. When training apprentices, she tries to make the lessons as much fun as possible for all cats, often turning training into competitions. When she's not busy with her duties, she's always glad to take some kits out of camp or start up a game of some sorts.
Rushstar is not afraid to speak out, coming across as very opinionated and blunt. She speaks what she thinks, no matter how harsh it is. The she-cat isn't one for apologies, even of she knows that she is dead wrong. She may act a little softer and be a little more forgiving if she's been wrong, but it won't last very long and she will deny it to every cat that asks.]

[Rushstar's history starts many moons ago when the three clans were just formed. A tiny she-kit, the runt of her litter of two, was born to two former ShadowClan cats, fierce and loyal warriors. It is thought that this she-kit and her stillborn sister were the first litter of PineClan cats, for they had been conceived on the trek there. Perhaps that is why Brookkit and her stillborn sister were so weak (in Brookkit's case) and stillborn (Tawnykit, her sister). The sickly Brookkit didn't cause much trouble and soon became an apprentice, when she was apprenticed to a senior warrior that was well respected.
Brookpaw's training went normally as well, not the best of the apprentices, but she could hold her own. Before long, she had passed her assessment and was given the warrior name Brookstep. She was a respected warrior of PineClan, not the strongest or fastest or bravest, but she was the most loyal.
This is where the story of Rushstar gets interesting. Brookstep finally became mates with the love of her life and was expecting kits. The timing was seen as strange by most PineClan cats, for the current deputy was suffering from what was then an unknown sickness that later became known as Red Bite. With the deputy dying, cats began to talk about who Thornstar would pick. Brookstep had been one of the leading contenders for the position, despite her young age. Just before the previous deputy died of Red Bite announced she was expecting, shocking her clanmates. Due to her pregency, she was not appointed deputy, the position instead given to an ambitious tom. Just a few moons after, Brookstep gave birth to a single kit, named Foxkit for her ginger pelt.
Little Foxkit was wild and adventurous, always out and about, playing with the other kits in the nursery. When Foxkit was about four moons old, her mother went out on a walk. The current deputy, a massive tom known as Eagleclaw, saw Brookstep as a threat to his position, afraid that Thornstar would replace him as deputy. He killed the queen, covered her scent with StoneClan scent, then carried the body back to camp. Little Foxkit was out playing when her mother's body was drug into camp and was one of the first cats to see Brookstep was dead. Shortly after Brookstep's murder, Eagleclaw died from greencough and Thornstar appointed an elderly she-cat named Leafbreeze as deputy.
Foxkit was given to another queen to raise for the last couple moons as a kit and her father grew further and further away from her. She grew into a depressed shell of a cat, until she started inter acting with Dustkit. The two did everything together, Dustkit even holding out on his own apprentice ceremony to wait for Foxkit. The two became Foxpaw and Dustpaw, give to young but loyal warriors to mentor. They, much like Brookstep, were average warriors but devoted their entire being to their clan. About seven moons later, they were made warriors, given the names Foxnose and Dustclaw. Not all that long after the two joined the ranks of warriors, Thornstar died, leaving Leafstar in her place.
It wasn't long before the two became mates, expecting their first litter. A few moons later, and a few moons later Willowkit and Elmkit were born. Before long, they had turned into fine, strong warriors, some of PineClan's best. Their parents waited a few moons, but then Foxnose was back in the nursery with her second litter. Rifflekit and Rushkit were both born healthy and full of life.
Rushkit was full of spunk and energy from the moment she was born, she caused trouble from the time she opened her eyes and could toddle around camp. She was always trying to keep up with the older kits. Rifflekit was a little more laid back, preferring to watch the other kits go on their adventures. By the time the two were six moons old and ready o become apprentices, Rifflekit was seen as the perfect kit while Rushkit was seen as a bit of a rebel.
Rushpaw was given a cat named Adderclaw as her mentor, a senior warrior that was known for his ambition and fearlessness. He drilled the young cat hard, training her at least once each day. Unlike most cats, Rushpaw thrived under the hard work, muscles growing strong and skills sharp. It was only about six moons after being apprenticed when Rushpaw received her warrior name, Rushfur. Her brother hadn't revived his name yet, due to his lazy nature and grew somewhat jealous of his sibling. This caused him to put forth more work, and two moons later he was dubbed Rifflepelt. Around the same time, Foxnose was back in the nursery, expecting what most expected to be her final litter of kits.
About a half moon before the kits were due, a storm raged through the territories, causing Foxpelt to go into labor early. The kits were born weak and an exhausted Foxnose named them Stormkit and Grasskit just before she slept. When she awoke, Grasskit was still, not breathing, warmth gone from his small body. Foxnose was devistated, but was forced to stay together for Stormkit.
Leafstar first gave anothe elderly cat the position as deputy, but he soon had to step down die to age. Leafstar thought long and hard, and was only a few mere moments from going over the deadlie when she announced Rushfur as deputy. Some cats were shocked, thinking she was too young and inexperienced. Gradually, though, she gained their respect. After about four seasons as deputy, Leafstar died and Rushfur became Rushstar, giving her former position to Cypressheart.
And this is where we leave Rushstar for now. What will happen in the future? The present? Those answers remain to be discovered.]
