[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,420,true][cs=2] SHARPVOICE ● DEPUTY ● ROSECLAN |
| [CHARISMATIC] ● [RELENTLESS] ● [LECHEROUS] | General Knowledge Age: fifty-four moons Breed: American short-hair mix Reason for Name:sharp >> as a kitten, he would use his claws to pull himself over his siblings and his mother, burying little sharp claws into their sides. Thinking her son was going be a fighter, she gave him a fighter's name. voice >> Sharpvoice did not turn out to be a fighter. He was lazy and would rather argue it out with words than with claws. He was a charismatic young cat with a knack for conversation.
Appearance Sharpvoice is a solid lump of cat, harshly resembling a rectangle. He is pale gray with long, winding black stripes that dance across his pelt and head. His fur is also relatively short and simple to care for that Sharpvoice takes for granted. He loves to appear clean and proper and his easy-to-manage pelt helps with that.
Sharpvoice is also what cats would consider stocky. He does not stand out in a crowd in terms of height; he is slightly on the short side with a sturdy build. His shoulders are wide set and strong, making him appear to be a formidable warrior, if he wanted to fight that is. For an older warrior, Sharpvoice has a noticeable lack of scars. In almost every battle that he has participated in, he has acted as an overseer, barking out orders to those fighting. He prefers not to get his claws dirty.
The one physical feature that Sharpvoice is occasionally self-conscious about is his flat face. He does not have very sharp features, rather his nose is kind of smooshed into his face. The features that stand out against his gray face, however, are his dark green eyes. They always seem to sparkle with a kind of mischief.
Personality [CHARISMATIC] Sharpvoice doesn't like getting his claws bloody. This tom would rather argue his way out of a situation than fight through it. Since he was young, Sharpvoice has had a way with words to get what he wanted. He can negotiate like none other and has dipped his paws into manipulation as well. It is uncommon for this tom to stumble over his words or regret what he says because he often rehearses inside his mind before he says anything. As long as he is faced with a situation that he had walked through in his head, his words come out perfect. Under stress he is still a talented speaker, it just doesn’t come out as smoothly.
[RELENTLESS] When Sharpvoice realizes he wants something, he does not let it go. He will chase what he wants, whether it is power, an agreement or deal, or even pursuing a she-cat, he will not let up until he gets what he wants. This tom is also famous for never taking a ‘no’ as a final answer; he will press and press until he gets the answer he desires. Honestly, his tactic is to wear down any cats that oppose him. The only time that Sharpvoice will ever back down is in the face of a physical fight. He may take a couple swings, but will quickly try to weasel his way out of it with words.
[INTELLIGENT] While it may not quite be traditional intelligence, but Sharpvoice has a perfect memory. He can memorize names and faces and pull them out at the drop of a leaf. Almost like a filing cabinet in his head, he has names stored away with an image, their strengths and weaknesses that he witnesses on the battle field, and any other bits of useful information. This has made Sharpvoice valuable on the battlefield because he can figure out how to outmaneuver a cat in seconds. However, while he does have this information at his disposal, it makes him slow to react at times. It takes time to sort through too much of the information, and he can end up overanalyzing a situation.
[STRATEGIST] Sharpvoice looks at the battlefield almost like a chess board. There are the kings and queens, powerful pieces that are difficult to topple over and there are pawns that can be manipulated by either side. This tom makes it his business to know who is who. While this might partially be about finding his next bed partner, he uses this information during fights and leadership as well. He has a whole profile of RoseClan in his head, using cats in a way that keeps him in power. This is why Sharpvoice often plays Overseer in times of warfare, watching the battle from a distance and giving orders, especially for when RoseClan is on the offensive.
[LECHEROUS] It is not a secret that Sharpvoice likes to sleep around. The tom find that a little bit of sex relieves his stress and the stress of his life has left him with a rather large appetite. Since he leads a busy life, Sharpvoice is happy to get sex wherever he can. Gender and age don’t bother him, if a cat is interested in sleeping with him, he is happy to comply. Many times, this trait has led Sharpvoice to straying from committed relationships, especially with his last two mates: Timberfoot and Hazelbranch. This wide pallet for sexual activity also includes whichever cats he can come across outside the clan. He has been known for sleeping around with loners and even cats from other clans when he gets the chance.
[SINGLE-MINDED] Even if Sharpvoice is unfaithful, his single-mindedness was the biggest factor in ending his past relationships. Despite his lack of interest in fighting and tendency to sleep around, he is very dedicated to his job as deputy. When he becomes consumed with patrols and other clan activities, he tends to ignore everything else that includes his mate and children. He would rather be on a border or hunting patrol than visited his kits in the Nursery. He tends to forget when his mates ask for him to come and visit, and he has little paw in helping with the kits. Overall, this makes him an excellent and dedicated deputy, but a horrible father.

>> before Sharpvoice Rainfoot was a dedicated warrior of RoseClan long before Brightkit was even an idea in her mother’s head. The strong gray tabby never had aspirations for leadership, only wished to perform for his clan the best he could. Cats ever doubted that he could fall in love because he was too busy following every command. That changed when he was assigned the quiet Brightpaw. Over their moons together, Rainfoot coaxed his shy apprentice out of her shell and the two became much closer than mentor and apprentice. And it came to no cat’s surprise that soon after her warrior’s ceremony; she announced that she was having Rainfoot’s kits. The pregnancy happened in early newleaf, leading to a smooth delivery a few short moons later.
>> kithood Sharpkit, Thicketkit, Poppykit, and Graykit were born on a relatively cool newleaf day. While RoseClan was not too affected by the drought, the four were still called miracle kits because they arrived with the rains that brought life back to the territories. Also, this might be a slight exaggeration on excited Brightflower’s part. The four kits lived a well-fed life in RoseClan, tumbling over one another and causing trouble wherever they could.
The two girls, Thicketkit and Poppykit were always close and in constant company of each other while Graykit and Sharpkit constantly argued. Graykit was aggressive, constantly wanting to butt heads with a brother that had not interested in fighting. Instead, Sharpkit spent a large amount of time in the medicine cat’s den trying to talk the medicine cat into giving him honey when he didn’t have a sore throat.
>> apprenticeship The day arrived that the small gang of kits was apprenticed and the clan let out a collective sigh. At least training would keep the little terrors out of trouble. Sharp-paw was apprenticed to a young and upcoming warrior by the name of Nimblestep. She was a pretty gray she-cat and Sharp-paw had an instant crush on his mentor. This somehow made his apprenticeship better because he always wanted to please her, working his hardest so he could showcase his skills for her. He was so blinded by his infatuation with Nimblestep that he completely missed the young she-cat crushing on him.
A moon younger than him was Sweetpaw, a she-cat that didn’t quite live up to her name. She was fiery ball of attitude that never slowed down for a second. When she met Sharp-paw in the apprentice’s den, she knew that she wanted him. She tried desperately to get his attention, but it was always focused on Nimblestep. It took until Nimblestep took her first mate that Sharp-paw finally noticed the she-cat, and the entire clan shuddered. Both cats were chatterboxes, loud and brash, and RoseClan could only worry about the kits they would one day produce.
And throughout their apprenticeship, Sharp-paw started to drift away from his crush on Nimblestep and became almost inseparable from Sweetpaw. They were quite a pair and made sure the entire clan knew that.
>> his warrior’s ceremony Sharp-paw was given his warrior name of Sharpvoice at fourteen moons after his final evaluation. The hardest point about this moment was the silent vigil afterward because honest to goodness, it was difficult for Sharpvoice to keep his trap shut with his brother sitting beside him. However, the following morning was the first time that him and Sweetpaw snuck out and had some fun. While this did not result in a pregnancy, Sharpvoice did promise to stay loyal to Sweetpaw and they would have kits after she received her warrior name.
>> Sweetflower’s death and Honeyfur It was only a few short moons since Sweetflower’s warrior ceremony, and one early morning she said goodbye to Sharpvoice before she went out onto a patrol. She and another cat were trapped under a collapsed roof when it gave way due to a late snow. Sharpvoice was the first cat on the rescue patrol but by the time they uncovered their buried clanmates, it was too late. Sharpvoice was devastated. The love of his life was gone as such a young age; the tom felt that he would never find another.
For a long time, Sharpvoice did not have a relationship with another cat, choosing to be rather solitary. That was until he started arguing with a she-cat on the PineClan border. The bright and savvy young Honeyfur captured his attention, and at first they enjoyed each other’s company as they argued about various things. It would only be seven moons after Sweetflower’s death that Sharpvoice gave into desire and spent the night with Honeyfur. And it wasn’t long until Sharpvoice was secretly informed that he was going to be a father, and by PineClan’s tradition, be forced to leave RoseClan.
Unwilling to leave his clan’s home, he asked Honeyfur to hide her kits’ parentage. That was one of the last times Sharpvoice saw Honeyfur alone, severing all ties in fear of being discovered. The only times he has seen her is brief glances on patrols or at Gatherings, and at those times he refused to talk to her. Sharpvoice has only spoken to his son, Bristlepelt, once and it was in passing at a Gathering. Sharpvoice is absolutely certain that Bristlepelt has no idea who his real father is, or believes a different cat is his father.
>> Timberfoot and Rainfoot’s passing Very soon after the incident with Honeyfur, Sharpvoice was quick to find a mate in RoseClan. Believing that it would affirm his loyalty to his clan, Timberfoot was his first choice. The she-cat was only slightly older than he was, a respected warrior, and together they produced a group of strong kits. Gingerkit, Icekit, and Stripedkit were excellent additions to the clan and would prove to be strong warriors one day. However, Sharpvoice and Timberfoot’s relationship was never really about love. While they enjoyed each other’s company, Sharpvoice was constantly busy and their relationship was strained because of it.
And with a mutual agreement, Sharpvoice and Timberfoot when their separate ways with little bad sentiment. They are still pleasant around each other and have little problem being on patrols together. The two cats remain good friends and tend not to talk about their history together unless it is discussion about their three kits.
It was also during this time that Rainfoot, frail with age, fell ill and passed. Sharpvoice was close with his father, both of them possessing a hard-working ethic and a drive to serve the clan. The tom went through a stage of grief with his father’s passing, and this might have led to his relationship with Juliet.
>> Sharpvoice and Juliet Juliet was a loner that Sharpvoice discovered one day when patrolling. The she-cat had been living on RoseClan land for quite some time and was not quick to leave. She was an enthusiastic and stubborn young cat that demanded Sharpvoice’s attention and the warrior found that he enjoyed visiting her. This led to a whirlwind relationship that did not last long. Sharpvoice did not stick around long enough to meet the kittens he produced, especially when he was in line to become the next deputy of RoseClan. He didn’t want to risk the damage that it would do to his reputation. However, he is aware that he has two kits. He has just never met them.
>> The Rise of Onyxstar and the Beautiful Hazelbranch After the death of the RoseClan leader, Emberstar’s granddaughter Onyxsong became deputy. Sharpvoice had to sit through this decision with a frown as he had been expected to receive the position. However, the tom lucked out when the newer leader of RoseClan did not last long in his position, losing his last life with suicide. This left Onyxstar in the leader position without a deputy, and Sharpvoice was quick to throw his hat into the ring. And it worked out that he was chosen.
Elated with his new position, Sharpvoice threw all of his effort into assisting Onyxstar and took his work very seriously. However, as deputy, Sharpvoice felt that he had a duty to the clan and took another mate. This time it was Hazelbranch, a young and beautiful warrior that Sharpvoice became close with. Together they had two kits, Flowerkit and Petalkit, and it seemed like Sharpvoice had finally found his last mate.
That changed after Flowerpaw’s accident and as she fell deaf, Sharpvoice became distant from his family as Hazelbranch tried to demand Sharpvoice to spend more time with his daughters. When he couldn’t give them that time, the relationship broke apart with both sides of the party unhappy. This has recently led Sharpvoice through a series of one-night stands with various cats of various genders, clans, and such. Most of these affairs he has kept a secret from almost all the cats around him, keeping that part of his life very private. However, Sharpvoice has not allowed it to interfere with his duties to RoseClan.
