[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,420,true][cs=2] FALCONSTAR ● LEADER ● STONECLAN |
| [WARY] ● [PROUD] ● [OPINIONATED] | General Knowledge Age: 48 moons Breed: Maine Coon Reason for Name:FALCON: his pelt color is similar to a falcon's. WIRE: his long fur, legs, and tail.
Appearance
Falconstar is a monstrous tom. The sheer size of him demands attention. His naturally broad, muscular frame and long limbs make him quite a bit larger than most toms. In fact, he tends tower over most of his peers.
With these advantageous traits comes natural abilities. He is notably stronger and faster than most, but more on the strong side because of his bulky fur and muscle. This also makes him a natural fighter. His genes have given him both a height, weight and strength advantage.
Falconstar's bulk isn't only because of his build. His fur is very thick and long as well, often times weighing him down and hindering his agility. His pelt is well taken care of and soft as feathers. It's a rich brown color, the undercoat fading to a light tannish white. All through the top coat are dark tabby stripes.
This guy's eyes are a beautiful yet intimidating golden yellow that tend to make his emotions seem intensified. If he's angry, they flare and brighten like a hot flame. It seems like they do more than reflect his feelings, they add more effect or significance to them. Overall, his eyes are very expressive and gives every one of his emotions away.
Something else about Falconstar people easily notice upon first sight are his scars. They tear across his soft pelt harshly, littering his body thickly. The most noticeable ones are across his shoulders and belly.
Personality
Having been through quite a bit of hell, Falconstar is a very wary cat. He doesn't trust easily and is constantly on the alert for any danger. Most of the time, he's always tense, waiting for any threat to pass and get torn to shreds. This also makes him have a hard time making friends. It's extremely tough for him to trust others enough to even turn his back to them. Now, this type of wariness has made Clan life hard for him. Falconstar isn't quite the type to put down defenses. He's one of those guys that you'll find saying 'you can trust no one more than you can trust yourself.'
Part of his trust issues stem from Falcon's pride. He sees leaning on others as being weak and if you're weak, you have no right to be a warrior. This guy's just got too much integrity to bow his head to anyone, even his old leader. He's his own cat and tends to stay that way until death. If others look down on Falconstar, he tends to want to prove himself someone that should be looked up to, not down on. Really, he's never liked being treated by medicine cats either. Being patched up just doesn't feel right to him, but this has been inevitable with how much danger seems to cling to him like his fur. The medicine usually has to drag him to their den with the help of his sons and brothers.
Opinion is something Falconstar isn't afraid to share. In fact, he's the first to speak up in Clan meetings to say what he thinks should happen. He's always been quite out-spoken and figures his way is best. If others simply disregard his way and try another route, Falcon'll simply rough it himself and show them he was right all along. Even if he is wrong, he won't admit it though. No, he's got far too much pride for that.
Although Falconstar has quite a few bad points such as his stubborn pride and strong opinions, he's not all bad. Once you watch him with apprentices or those younger, you'll find he's rather warm-hearted. Although his sons aren't biologically his, he treats them as if they were and does everything he can for his family. This goes for his Clan as well. Falconstar may be pretty gruff and pig-headed, but his loyalty to his Clan is absolute and he'd be the first to give his life for any of them without a second thought.
History Family:mother- Wildflower father- Serpentgaze younger brothers- Brassfang and Snakestrike adoptive sons- Granitethorn and Bentear
Falconstar was born to two very military-strict parents who drilled their sons into fierce warriors from the beginning. Although their first son was large, the other two seemed significantly smaller. They definitely weren't weak though. Brasskit and Snakekit would work as a team to take their brother down during play time. Once the three toms were on the same team though, they were unstoppable. Falconkit had the brawn and leadership skills, Brasskit had the tact and stealth, and Snakekit had the speed and accuracy. Often times, they played too roughly and it ended in the other kits crying, so they mostly stuck to playing by themselves.
Once apprenticed, the trio always seemed to want to train together. Their mentors saw no problem with it because they worked best together. Falconpaw and his brothers were seen as cocky prodigies by they peers, and none of them denied it. They claimed superiority over the other apprentices and treated them like dogs to do their chores and such. Of course not all of them listened, so Falconpaw was the one that would intimidate them back into doing their 'job'.
The older apprentices didn't cooperate and the mentors of the others found out all too soon of how the brothers treated their Denmates, so their reign over the den was extremely short-lived. It was when they had to make up for the chores they didn't do and their warrior ceremonies were held back that Falconpaw, Brasspaw and Snakepaw realized they weren't so tough. Sure, they were good at fighting, but there were others out there better than them. So, Falconpaw and his brothers began to behave more, going on patrols and generally shaping themselves into respectable warriors.
Well, Falconpaw got tired of being so reserved. He was the type to speak his mind and do as he pleased. So, he began to leave camp alone at night for walks. This little act of rebellion soon turned into larger acts, such as questioning his leader and taking his claws out while training. Falconpaw even drew away from his brothers, saying they were annoying goody-two-paws. He still left camp as he pleased and soon found himself in a bad place. While alone, he was more vulnerable to the many hazards of his Clan's territories. Falconpaw was often in the medicine cat's den, found unconscious after getting hurt by falling rubble, or coming back to camp after trying to fight a wild dog which a patrol had saved him from. It was obvious he was heading into an extremely bad direction. His warrior ceremony was now held back for three moons because of his behavior.
It took his father saving him from a snake and dying of the venom for him to really wake up. From then on, Falconpaw cleaned his act up. He was still proud, opinionated, and now extremely wary, but he looked after his Clan and behaved the best he could.
After those long three moons of working hard to prove himself as a warrior, Falconpaw finally became Falconwire. Not long after, he was given a large black tom named Granitepaw to mentor. His father had died similarly as Falconwire's had and he felt responsible for the reserved furball as he got to know him. So, he started calling him his son, proud of the warrior he'd shaped when Granitepaw became Granitethorn. Along the way, Falconwire had become close with another apprentice, Bentpaw who had been a half-breed, his father of PineClan and unwilling to join StoneClan. So, he took responsibility for the shy tom as well and cheered the loudest as he was named Bentear.
Ever since, Falconstar has proved himself a caring father. He expects a lot from his adoptive children, but treats them kindly, his pride giving way to them and apologizing when he's too had on them. Falconstar feels guilty for his own father's death and wants to make it up to Serpentgaze by being a good, strong leader and father for his Clan and those he loves.
Also, Falconwire was appointed deputy shortly after the previous one, Tinclaw died from Red Bite. The tom had fought hard against the sickness, but the infection spread too quickly and he ended up dead in a matter of weeks.
Seeing how hard Falconwire had worked to prove himself a good warrior, old Owlstar decided he deserved a reward for his efforts. Once named deputy, Falconwire took the title proudly and had rough start when Owlstar's health took a dip for the worse. The older tom had an odd lump on his stomach that ended up weakening him to the point of being unfit to lead the Clan.
Having just been appointed as deputy a moon prior, Falconwire was in a state of panic. He wasn't ready to lead the Clan! The time he spent with Owlstar was short, but he tried to get all the wisdom he could from him in the brief time he lived. Now, Falconwire leads his Clan as Falconstar, bewildered at how fast he was given the power as leader and still adapting to the responsibility. He looks to StarClan for guidance and needs his Clan's patience as he figures out how he'll lead. Being a rather proud and confident tom, he is quickly becoming more and more sure of himself. | alias: storm current characters: Jaydance and Topazpaw image source: click here! | |
